SQL Developer

Overview: We are seeking a skilled Reports Developer with strong SQL and SSRS expertise for a contract to hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will partner with business and technical teams to design, develop, and deliver actionable reporting solutions that support key decision-making processes. Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate with business users and IT teams to gather reporting requirements and transform them into technical solutions. • Design, develop, and deploy reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL queries. • Optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for report efficiency and performance. • Maintain and support existing reports; troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues as they arise. • Document report specifications, processes, and data logic. • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity in all reporting deliverables. • Assist with ad hoc data analysis and custom reporting. • Stay current with best practices in data visualization and reporting technologies. Required Qualifications: • Proven experience developing reports using SSRS and advanced SQL. • Strong understanding of relational databases and data modeling concepts. • Hands-on experience with SQL Server, including writing complex queries, views, and stored procedures. • Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical specifications. • Familiarity with ETL processes, T-SQL, and report automation is a plus. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
