SQL Developer with SAS

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced SQL Developer with strong SAS programming expertise to design, develop, and optimize data solutions supporting analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in data modeling, complex SQL development, SAS data manipulation, and performance tuning across large datasets in enterprise environments. Key Responsibilities: SQL Development & Data Engineering • Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and ETL processes across multiple databases (Oracle, SQL Server, or Teradata). • Build and maintain data pipelines to support analytics, dashboards, and ad-hoc reporting. • Conduct data profiling, cleansing, and validation to ensure data accuracy and consistency. • Collaborate with data architects to design and implement normalized and denormalized data models. SAS Programming & Analytics • Develop and maintain SAS programs, macros, and scripts for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. • Automate data processing workflows using SAS Base, SAS Macro, and SAS SQL. • Work with SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Studio, and SAS DI Studio for data manipulation and reporting. • Integrate SAS outputs with BI tools or downstream systems for business consumption. Reporting & Visualization • Create and maintain data-driven reports and dashboards using SQL and SAS outputs. • Collaborate with analysts and business users to design custom reports and KPIs for business performance tracking. Performance Optimization • Tune SQL queries and SAS jobs for performance improvement and scalability. • Analyze execution plans and optimize data access paths in large data environments. Collaboration & Documentation • Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
