SQL Developer

SQL / Power BI Developer Seeking a developer with strong Power BI and SQL skills to support reporting, dashboard development, and database-driven analytics initiatives. This role will work alongside an existing Power BI developer and SQL team, providing additional bandwidth for reporting requests and business intelligence projects. Key Responsibilities: • Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations. • Partner with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights. • Write and optimize SQL queries to support reporting, analysis, and data validation needs. • Assist with database reporting, query performance tuning, and ad hoc data requests. • Provide backup support for Power BI development efforts and help manage project workload. • Leverage AI tools to improve productivity and development efficiency. Required Qualifications: • Experience developing reports and dashboards in Power BI. • Strong SQL skills, including querying databases, reporting, and basic to intermediate query optimization. • Ability to work independently and collaborate with technical and business teams. Nice to Have: • Python experience. • Experience using AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar). Work Arrangement: • Preference for a hybrid schedule with approximately 3 days onsite in Chantilly, VA per week, but this can be flexible.
