Job Purpose:
We are looking for a skilled SQL Reporting Analyst to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract or permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work on modern data infrastructure with exposure to key tools in the analytics space. The ideal candidate will bring strong SQL experience, with added proficiency in Python (desirable) and cloud data platforms such as Data Bricks.
The ideal candidate will have some experience in utilities / energy / telco / water.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to build robust data models and pipelines.
• Work with DBT to maintain and transform data in the warehouse.
• Use Databricks and Python notebooks for advanced data processing.
• Create and maintain dashboards using Lightdash.
• Ensure data accuracy and quality across systems
Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience with SQL in a commercial environment
• Experience working with Python notebooks for data manipulation and exploration is a desirable
• Hands-on experience with dbt pipelines and Databricks.
• Understanding of data visualization tools (experience with Light Dash is a plus).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid team.
• Background in the utilities/energy/telco sector is a must have
