Role description
Job Title: SQL Server Developer (Pharma MES/Manufacturing) Pay Rate: $55/hr W-2 - $65/hr C2C Duration: 12 months Location: REMOTE We are looking for a SQL Server Developer (Pharma MES/Manufacturing) Position: SQL Server Developer with MES experience. Qualifications • (3–5 years) Strong T-SQL on Microsoft SQL Server (2016+): complex joins/CTEs, window functions, error handling, tuning. • HTML/CSS, XML/XSL, JSON • Hands-on ETL experience with one or more: SSIS, SQL Agent jobs, Azure Data Factory, Python/PowerShell-driven SQL loads. • Understanding of data warehousing concepts: staging vs. warehouse, SCDs, CDC, partitioning, indexing, constraints. • MES background (preferably Emerson Syncade): ability to work with MES-originating data sets and production/quality contexts. • Version control & DevOps basics (Git, pull requests, branching) and structured environments (Dev/Test/Prod). • Clear communication, on-call mindset, and disciplined documentation. Nice to Have • Direct Syncade experience (EMR\_WF schemas; Workflow/Activity/Instance tables; batch/recipe/EBR data). • GxP/CSV in life sciences (GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11), audit trails, test evidence, IQ/OQ/PQ familiarity. • SSIS package design best practices; Azure SQL/Managed Instance; ADF pipelines; Databricks or Spark basics. • Observability: job telemetry, alerting (e.g., SQL Agent + email/Teams), failure classification, SLAs/SLOs. • Scripting for ops: PowerShell or Python; basic REST/API usage to orchestrate loads. • BI/reporting exposure (Power BI, SSRS) for downstream consumer needs.
