Power BI / SQL Developer – HR Analytics Location: Remote Industry: Healthcare Employment Type: Contract Pay Rate: $67-$76/hr Overview A leading healthcare system is seeking a Power BI / SQL Developer to support its HR Analytics and Workforce Reporting initiatives. This role will focus on transforming HR and workforce data into actionable insights through Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions. The developer will work closely with HR leadership, workforce planning teams, and IT to build scalable reporting solutions that provide visibility into key workforce metrics such as staffing levels, turnover, recruitment pipelines, and workforce performance. This position requires strong SQL development, data modeling, and Power BI visualization expertise, along with the ability to work with sensitive HR data in a secure healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports supporting HR and workforce analytics • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and prepare HR data from enterprise data sources • Build data models and datasets optimized for reporting performance and scalability • Translate HR business requirements into visual dashboards and actionable analytics • Develop reporting for key workforce metrics such as: • Headcount and staffing trends • Employee turnover and retention • Recruitment pipeline metrics • Workforce productivity and utilization • Ensure data accuracy, governance, and security when handling sensitive HR data • Optimize Power BI dashboards for performance, usability, and executive-level reporting • Collaborate with HR stakeholders to identify new reporting opportunities and automation improvements • Document data models, reporting logic, and dashboard usage for internal teams Required Qualifications • 3–6+ years of experience in Power BI development and dashboard design • Strong experience with SQL development and query optimization • Experience building data models and datasets for BI tools • Ability to translate complex datasets into clear, user-friendly visualizations • Experience working with HR, workforce, or operational business data • Strong communication skills and ability to work with non-technical stakeholders Preferred Qualifications • Experience working in healthcare or hospital systems • Familiarity with HRIS systems such as: • Workday • Experience with Power BI dataflows, DAX, and performance tuning • Experience with data governance or HIPAA-compliant environments • Exposure to Python or R for analytics (nice-to-have) Key Skills • Power BI • SQL • Data Modeling • DAX • Data Visualization • Workforce / HR Analytics • Data Governance Why Join Us? • 401(k) Matching Plan • Medical, Dental, & Vision Plans • Relationship Driven Process to Find Your Best Fit • 6 Paid Holidays • Regular Meetings to Ensure Quality in Your Engagement How to Apply: (Straightforward, easy one-click apply.)
