Sr. Atlassian Engineer - W2 Contract

Key Responsibilities: • Build, configure, and customize Jira Cloud Projects, Issue Types, Screen Schemes, Permissions, Workflows, and other configurations. • Design and implement Jira automations to streamline business processes. • Develop REST API-based integrations and webhooks between Jira and other 3rd party SaaS applications. • Collaborate with Engineering teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable Jira solutions. • Write scripts and tools in Python, Java, C++, or similar languages to extend Jira capabilities. • Troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and ensure the integrity of Jira data and configurations. Qualifications: • 3-5 years of experience working with Atlassian Jira Cloud in an engineering environment. • Extensive experience with Jira Automations and building custom workflows. • 3-5 years of coding experience in Python, Java, C++, or similar languages. • Strong experience customizing Jira Projects, Issue Types, Screen Schemes, Permissions, Workflows, etc. • 2-4 years of experience building REST API-based integrations with Jira and 3rd party SaaS services. • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a hybrid environment. Nice to Have: • Experience with Confluence, Bitbucket, or other Atlassian tools. • Familiarity with DevOps workflows and tools. • Experience with Jira plugin development or advanced scripting.
