Sr Business Systems Analyst - AI Contract Data Extraction Overview Seeking a Business Systems Analyst to lead AI-driven contract data extraction initiatives across enterprise teams. This role bridges business stakeholders and an AI extraction platform, designing and optimizing prompts that convert unstructured agreements into accurate, structured data consumable by downstream systems. The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis experience, contract domain fluency, and hands-on prompt engineering expertise. Key Responsibilities • Partner with Legal, Sourcing, Technology, and Operations teams to define contract data requirements. • Design, test, and iterate AI prompts for structured contract metadata extraction. • Map end-to-end data flows from contract repositories to analytics and operational systems. • Develop evaluation datasets and field-level scoring frameworks to measure extraction accuracy. • Establish quality standards and improve prompt performance through structured testing. • Facilitate stakeholder workshops and publish prompt governance guidance. • Quantify business value, operational efficiency gains, and cost avoidance from automation. Must-Have Qualifications • 5+ years of Business Systems Analyst or Business Analysis experience. • 2+ years of hands-on prompt engineering experience, ideally focused on contract or document extraction. • Strong understanding of contract structures, clauses, and legal terminology. • Experience extracting structured data from large volumes of agreements. • Demonstrated experience designing evaluation frameworks, scoring models, or quality measurement processes. • Strong analytical and data analysis skills. • Experience mapping business processes and data flows. • Familiarity with CLM platforms and document repositories. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Legal background or paralegal experience. • Experience working with enterprise AI/LLM platforms. • Experience quantifying automation ROI and operational savings. • Exposure to governance, compliance, or regulatory environments.
