Role description
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Confluent Kafka Engineer for one of our contract opportunity in the US. In this role, you will design, deploy, and maintain Confluent Kafka clusters in on-premise and/or cloud environments. Job Responsibilities: • Build and manage Kafka Connectors, Streams, and kSQL pipelines. • Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of Kafka infrastructure. • Collaborate with developers, architects, and DevOps teams to deliver real-time data solutions. • Automate provisioning, scaling, and monitoring using CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). • Troubleshoot performance issues, optimize throughput, and ensure cluster health. • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to Kafka best practices. Requirements: • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and Confluent Platform. • Strong expertise in Kafka administration, replication, partitioning, and tuning. • Proficiency with Confluent components (Schema Registry, Kafka Connect, kSQL, Control Center). • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). • Knowledge of DevOps and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Helm, etc.). • Programming/scripting skills in Java, Python, or Go. • Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK).
