Role description
Job Title: Senior Data Analyst – Healthcare / CMS Stars Location: Primarily Remote (2–3 onsite visits/month in Columbia, MD) Duration: Contract-to-Hire Our client is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to support enterprise analytics initiatives focused on Medicare Advantage Stars and Risk Adjustment programs within a healthcare payor environment. This role will partner closely with business leaders, policy teams, and technology stakeholders to drive provider data accuracy, reporting, and strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities: • Support enterprise CMS Stars and Risk Adjustment strategies through advanced healthcare analytics • Analyze provider and claims data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations for business and executive leadership • Partner with business teams, IT, and product owners to support data-driven initiatives • Monitor application and reporting performance and recommend process improvements • Support ongoing compliance with Medicare and Medicaid program requirements • Collaborate with external vendors and government agencies as needed Required Qualifications: • 10+ years of experience as a Data Analyst within a healthcare payor environment • Strong expertise with CMS Federal Healthcare programs, specifically CMS Stars • Experience working with provider data, claims platforms, and provider-to-claims processes • Prior experience advising senior leadership on healthcare data strategy and improvement initiatives • Hands-on experience extracting and analyzing data from MS Azure • Strong knowledge of Salesforce and FACETS • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills Additional Information: • Contract-to-hire opportunity • Candidates must be located in or able to travel to one of the following states for occasional onsite visits: MD, DC, PA, WV, or DE
