Job Summary (Sr Data Analyst/Report Writer - Austin, TX)
β’ Assess, research, and document data requirements; ensure adherence to data best practices and standards.
β’ Assist in optimizing agency operations and program functions; provide recommendations for improvements.
β’ Lead and contribute to multiple related initiatives and special projects as assigned by agency leadership.
β’ Develop data analysis tools, define data requirements, and provide actionable recommendations to project leadership.
β’ Transform raw data into meaningful information for business decision-making; create and present reports highlighting technology and operational gaps to executive stakeholders.
β’ Develop as-is/to-be data models to identify opportunities for increased operational efficiency.
β’ Map data effectively, establish benchmarks, and develop frameworks for trend analysis and performance measurement.
β’ Analyze data policies and procedures to assess their impact on automated systems and functional areas.
β’ Acquire data from various sources, prepare regular reports, conduct deep analysis of trends and correlations.
β’ Develop metadata, tables, and user interfaces to define clear and accessible reports for business users.
β’ Use creativity and specialized reporting tools to develop data reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
β’ May participate in the development of project SDLC materials, including gap analysis, recommendations, roadmaps, requirements, design documents, data flow diagrams, test cases, and use cases.
β’ Work under limited direction with extensive latitude for initiative and independent judgment.
β’ Preference for candidates with public sector or State/Federal experience.
β’ Role is 100% onsite in Austin, TX (local candidates only).
