Tittle: Sr Data Engineer Location:Farmers Branch, TX 75234 Work Mode: 5 days in office Duration: Contract to Hire Years Of Exp Required: 8+ Years FUNCTION OF THE GROUP: Mitigating Risk/Generating Revenue/Cost Reduction INITIATIVES/PROJECTS: Database engineers for Lending Payments PPO work INDUSTRY BACKGROUND: DB Engineer Summary: Assists in developing, supporting and implementing data solutions for multiple applications in order to meet business objectives. Performs data requirement analysis and the data preparation process development for targeted data solutions. Assists in designing and building data service infrastructure on multiple data platforms, according the workflow. Participates the development and implementation of data solutions for multiple applications to ensure its scalability, availability and maintainability. Consults on data migration and transformation to ensure the accuracy and security of data solutions. Roles and Responsibilities: Coordinate the collection, normalization and analysis of datasets across multiple data platforms. • Assist in designing and building data service infrastructure across multiple data platforms. • Work with analytics teams to ensure functionality in data systems. • Participate in the development of and implementation of data solutions for multiple applications to ensure scalability and maintainability. • Design and implement process improvements including automation of processes and redesign of data infrastructure. • Owns significant components of the database platform (specific schemas/domains, key performance areas, or HA/DR operational ownership) with minimal guidance. • Leads technical workstreams (e.g., partitioning rollout, performance remediation, operational readiness) and drives them to closure. • Improves runbooks/automation; contributes to production incident response and prevention Must Have Technical Skills:(Min 8+ years of exp in all of the below required skills) • Strong hands-on experience designing and operating high-volume, enterprise OLTP databases supporting mission-critical transactions. • Advanced SQL and performance tuning experience • MySQL • Oracle • Experience with operational best practices: backup/restore validation, patch planning, monitoring/alerting, incident response, and runbooks. • Proven ability to collaborate across engineering, operations, and security with clear, structured communication Flex Skills/Nice to Have: • Exadata experience • Data Guard experience (HA/DR, role transitions, validation of primary/standby states). • GoldenGate experience (replication design/operations). • Understanding of enterprise MySQL deployment/replication patterns (e.g., primary/replica cross-site patterns) Ref: #404-IT Pittsburgh
