Sr. Data Engineer
Location: Glendale, CA, Orlando, FL or Seattle, WA (Onsite/Hybrid β details upon request)
Pay Rate: Up to $93.95/hour
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to support our client'sΒ enterprise-level data initiatives focused on financial and operational analytics. This role will play a key part in building scalable data pipelines, enabling cost transparency, and supporting strategic decision-making through advanced data modeling and analytics.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines integrating financial and operational data from multiple enterprise systems into Snowflake
β’ Develop and optimize data models and semantic layers for reporting and analytics
β’ Implement complex cost allocation logic using SQL and/or Python
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, finance, engineering, and QA
β’ Leverage orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, DBT, Snowflake Tasks) to automate workflows
β’ Ensure data quality, governance, and auditability through validation and control processes
β’ Support ongoing enhancements, performance tuning, and operational stability of data systems
Required Qualifications
β’ 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, with strong focus on cloud platforms (Snowflake preferred)
β’ Advanced SQL expertise (CTEs, window functions, complex transformations)
β’ Hands-on experience with Python for ETL/ELT and automation
β’ Proven experience building and maintaining enterprise-scale data pipelines
β’ Experience with financial data models (budgeting, forecasting, cost allocation, etc.)
β’ Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow or DBT
β’ Experience working with enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, ServiceNow, or similar)
β’ Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
β’ Bachelorβs degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience with Snowflake Cortex AI (analytics or visualization layers)
β’ Familiarity with Technology Business Management (TBM) frameworks
β’ Understanding of corporate finance and accounting processes
