Sr. Data Engineer

Job Summary Sr. Data Engineer (McLane) • Full Stack Data Engineering: • Hands-on experience building both front-end (executive dashboards/portals) and back-end (data pipelines, integrations) solutions in data-focused environments. • Data Visualization & BI Product Design: • Strong skills in BI/UX/UI design; ability to create user-friendly, executive-level dashboards and cockpit interfaces. • Advanced BI Tools Proficiency: • Expertise in Power BI and Microsoft Fabric (required). • Experience with Looker (LookML) or similar BI tools (required). • API & Integration Experience: • Skilled in developing, consuming, and integrating with APIs. • AI Proficiency: • Advanced use of AI tools to bridge technical skill gaps and optimize workflows. • Cloud Experience: • Strong background in working with cloud technologies in data engineering contexts. • Balanced Technical Skillset: • Demonstrated ability to work across BI engineering, data engineering, and full stack development. • Java programming experience required. • Cross-team Collaboration: • Ability to operate as a shared resource, supporting multiple teams with both front-end and back-end solutions. • Preferred: • Experience in retail or supply chain data environments. • Experience Level: • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience. • Location/Work Style: • Based in Austin, TX (3 days onsite), relocation considered.
