Job Title: Senior Data Engineer Duration: 6-month Contract-to-Hire Location: Remote – EST/CST hours Openings: 2 Compensation: $70–75/hour W2 (contract) with conversion salary of $140–160K + benefits Eligibility: Client will only accept U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders Introduction We are seeking Senior Data Engineers to join our growing data organization. This role is ideal for hands-on engineers who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about building scalable data solutions. You will be instrumental in designing and developing data pipelines, enabling analytics, and delivering actionable insights across the business. With opportunities to contribute both technically and strategically, this position offers an exciting path for engineers looking to lead initiatives, mentor junior staff, and help shape best practices for enterprise data engineering. Required Skills & Qualifications • 4+ years of relevant data engineering experience • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL (must-have) • Experience with Azure Databricks (must-have) • Experience with data analytics tools and enterprise data solution design/development • Proficiency in additional programming languages such as R, Scala, or Java • Understanding of Agile methodology and DevOps principles • Strong communication skills: able to speak up, share ideas, and engage proactively with the team • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder (no exceptions) Preferred Skills & Qualifications • Experience mentoring junior engineers • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory • Exposure to CI/CD pipeline design and deployment in data environments • Familiarity with operational monitoring and troubleshooting data pipelines Day-to-Day Responsibilities • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery • Design and build data pipelines using Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory to deliver scalable solutions • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, acting as a point of escalation for Data Engineers • Lead peer reviews, authorize modifications, and ensure adherence to best practices • Collaborate in daily stand-ups, actively participate in requirement discussions, and share forward-thinking ideas • Guide junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge-sharing • Design and deliver reports and data extractions for internal and client use • Support ongoing operational monitoring and pipeline maintenance Internal Team Make-Up • 5 Data Teams (approx. 5 members per team) • Teams consist of junior to senior engineers, with two managers and a director providing oversight • Collaborative environment with opportunities for mentorship and leadership Company Benefits & Culture • Competitive hourly rate with conversion to a $140–160K salary + benefits • Remote flexibility with alignment to EST/CST hours • Collaborative, team-focused environment with daily engagement and cross-functional collaboration • • #TECH
