Role: Sr. Data Governance and Analytics Developer
Location: LA (Los Angeles, CA) Downtown area
Work Schedule: Hybrid (2, 3 days a week in office)
Type of Position: Contract
Note: Preference for the Green Card and US Citizen
Job Description:
This is a senior-level Data Governance and Data Science role focused on enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. The individual will work closely with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to solve complex business problems using advanced analytics, predictive modeling, experimentation, causal inference, and Large Language Models (LLMs).
Key Responsibilities:
Β· Partner with business, product, and engineering teams to understand and translate business challenges into analytical solutions.
Β· Design, develop, and evaluate statistical, predictive, and machine learning models.
Β· Apply advanced analytics, experimentation, causal inference, and LLM-based solutions to drive business outcomes.
Β· Extract, prepare, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources using SQL, Python, R, and related technologies.
Β· Solve complex and ambiguous business problems with minimal precedent and develop innovative methodologies when required.
Β· Promote and support Data Governance best practices across the organization.
Required Qualifications:
Β· Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
Β· 9+ years of experience in analytics, statistical analysis, coding, and business problem solving (or 6+ years with a PhD).
Β· 4+ years of experience in predictive modeling and machine learning.
Β· Hands-on experience applying Large Language Models (LLMs) to business use cases.
Β· Experience with Data Governance platforms such as Ataccama (preferred), Informatica, or Collibra.
Key Skills:
Β· Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Β· Expertise in Python, SQL, R, predictive modeling, and statistical methods.
Β· Ability to solve unstructured business problems and convert findings into actionable recommendations.
Β· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Β· Leadership experience mentoring and guiding data science teams.
Β· Strong understanding of Data Governance principles and frameworks.
