New Exciting opportunity for the role of Sr Data Scientist Location: Coventry ,UK ( Hybrid-3 days from office) Contract Duration:6 Months IR35 Status: Inside IR35 The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to enhance the organisation’s intelligence capability and drive data-led decision making. You will work on complex datasets, applying advanced analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning techniques to develop innovative data products and actionable insights. Your Profile Essential Skills & Experience β€’ 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in data science delivering business-critical solutions β€’ Strong understanding of data science methodologies such as CRISP-DM, MLOps, and Agile frameworks β€’ Proven ability to act as a subject matter expert in AI/ML within a business environment Core Technical Skills β€’ Expert proficiency in Python and SQL, with strong software engineering practices (testing, modular design, CI/CD) β€’ Deep expertise in machine learning techniques including NLP, deep learning, time-series forecasting, and ensemble methods β€’ Experience building AI-driven chatbot or LLM-based solutions β€’ Strong experience with Azure ecosystem (Azure ML, Synapse) and containerisation tools like Docker and Kubernetes β€’ Advanced knowledge of statistical modelling, experimentation, and causal inference (e.g., A/B testing) β€’ Ability to communicate insights effectively using tools such as Microsoft Power BI β€’ Experience with model tracking and reproducibility tools such as MLflow Desirable Skills β€’ Domain knowledge within the water or utilities sector β€’ Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in a STEM field; MSc or PhD preferred (e.g., Data Science, AI, Mathematics, Statistics) β€’ Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills β€’ Experience leading projects and influencing decision-making β€’ Passion for mentoring and developing junior team members β€’ Interest in emerging technologies and continuous learning
