Role description
Our client, within product engineering space is seeking a Senior Data Services Developer to join their team. As a Senior Data Services Developer. The Senior Data Services Developer designs, builds, and supports enterprise data services that power analytics and data-driven decision making. This role focuses on developing, maintaining, and optimizing solutions within the Enterprise Data Store, while ensuring data quality, system stability, and performance. The position partners closely with developers, IT leaders, business analysts, and subject matter experts throughout the full software development lifecycle. The developer provides on-call/off-hours support as needed, troubleshoots production issues, identifies root causes, and implements preventative solutions. While this role may mentor or onboard junior resources, it has no direct reports. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, deploy, and monitor enterprise data solutions Support ETL, reporting, modeling, data warehouse, and data lake initiatives Troubleshoot and resolve technical and data-related issues Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance standards are met Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and maintain technical documentation Participate in deployments and improve code migration processes Contribute to enterprise data architecture, standards, and technology roadmaps Maintain system stability, including on-call support Support SDLC tools, processes, and large-scale initiatives Occasional travel (<10%) for planning or in-person meetings Qualifications โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or equivalent preferred โ€ข Strong ability to design, document, and communicate complex data architectures โ€ข Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders โ€ข Authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available) โ€ข Willingness to support off-hours work as required Required Experience โ€ข 7+ years in IT with deep experience in data architecture and data solutions โ€ข 5+ years working with relational/dimensional databases and ETL processes โ€ข Strong expertise with the SQL Server stack (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, SSMS) โ€ข Knowledge of enterprise data architectures, security, monitoring, and privacy standards Preferred Experience โ€ข Cloud and hybrid data platforms (Azure, AWS, Databricks, Synapse, Power BI) โ€ข ERP, PIM, and manufacturing/distribution industry experience โ€ข SQL Server administration and multi-database environments โ€ข Agile and traditional project methodologies โ€ข BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau โ€ข Azure, SQL Server, .NET, or AWS certifications a plus If this is a role that interests you and youโ€™d like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
