Senior Data Support Engineer (Azure / SQL / Power BI) – UK About the Role We’re working with a leading organisation seeking a Senior Data Support Engineer to join their growing data team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality data insights, supporting data integration processes, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the business. You’ll work across data analysis, reporting, and platform support, collaborating with stakeholders to turn complex data into meaningful and actionable insights. Key Responsibilities • Perform in-depth data analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data-driven insights • Design and develop reports, dashboards, and visualisations using tools such as Power BI or Tableau • Support and maintain data pipelines and workflows within Azure environments • Analyse and interpret trends, patterns, and anomalies in large datasets • Develop and optimise SQL queries for performance and efficiency • Contribute to the improvement of data collection, processing, and reporting frameworks • Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across systems • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions aligned with business needs • Provide guidance and support to junior team members where required Required Skills & Experience • Strong experience with SQL (query writing, optimisation, troubleshooting) • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and Databricks • Experience building dashboards and reports using Power BI or Tableau • Solid understanding of data modelling and data structures • Experience working with ETL/ELT processes • Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to work with stakeholders and translate business requirements into data solutions Desirable • Experience working in cloud-based data environments (Azure preferred) • Exposure to data governance and best practices • Experience supporting or mentoring junior team members Working Arrangement • Hybrid working model • 2–3 days per week onsite in London
