Role description
We’re looking for a skilled Data Warehouse Engineer with strong experience in DB2, Linux, and Cognos to support enterprise data and reporting platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and maintain DB2-based data warehouse solutions and data marts
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and indexing strategies
• Handle performance tuning, data modeling (star/snowflake), and ETL processes
• Monitor database performance, manage backups, and ensure data integrity
• Build and support Cognos reports, dashboards, and data models
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver business intelligence solutions
• Support production environments, scheduling, and incident resolution
Required Skills:
• Strong hands-on experience with DB2 (LUW)
• Advanced SQL and performance tuning expertise
• Experience with Linux/Unix and shell scripting
• Working knowledge of Cognos Analytics / BI tools
• Understanding of data warehousing and ETL tools (Informatica, DataStage, etc.)
