Role Summary (Recruiting Version)
Seeking a Senior-level Epic Revenue Cycle Analytics Expert who can partner directly with healthcare executives, lead major analytics initiatives, and build high-performing reporting teams for large health systems.
This role blends Epic Rev-Cycle expertise, analytics leadership, executive communication, and program oversight. The ideal candidate has deep RC workflow knowledge, strong data skills, and a proven track record supporting VP/C-suite leaders.
Top 5 Must-Have Requirements
β’ 7+ years Epic Revenue Cycle experience (HB, PB, HIM, CDI, Coding, AR, Rev Integrity).
β’ Strong analytics background: Clarity/Caboodle, SQL, Power BI (or similar).
β’ Executive presence β experience partnering directly with VP/C-suite stakeholders.
β’ Experience building or leading rev-cycle analytics or reporting teams.
β’ Ability to direct analysts and BI resources to deliver dashboards quickly and accurately.
Core Responsibilities
β’ Serve as the primary Rev-Cycle Analytics Project Lead
β’ Work directly with the VP of Revenue Cycle to define reporting priorities and strategy.
β’ Lead development of high-impact dashboards including:
β’ Executive RC Dashboard
β’ CDI dashboards with MD/facility drilldowns
β’ AR, DNFB, charge lag, coding accuracy, cash trends, productivity
β’ Build and manage a Revenue Cycle Analytics Team (Epic analysts, report writers, BI developers).
β’ Direct all reporting workstreams across a multiβservice area Epic environment.
β’ Provide guidance on KPI definitions, data logic, Clarity/Caboodle tables, and SQL.
β’ Communicate progress, risks, and deliverables.
Required Technical Skills
β’ Epic Revenue Cycle expertise (HB + PB).
β’ Strong SQL + Epic Clarity/Caboodle proficiency.
β’ Power BI or equivalent BI visualization expertise.
β’ Deep understanding of revenue cycle metrics and operational workflow.
Preferred Skills
β’ Experience with CDI tools (Iodine, 3M, Nuance).
β’ Prior consulting experience with large health systems.
β’ Experience building analytics functions from scratch.
β’ PMP, HFMA, Lean/Six Sigma certification a plus.
