Role: Sr. SQL Server Developer Supporting: Large Financial Services Client Location: McLean, VA (Hybrid) Assignment Type: Contract Only Duration: Approximately4 months Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Sr. SQL Server Developer to support data, reporting, and system optimization initiatives in a hybrid environment. This role requires strong technical SQL expertise paired with the ability to collaborate closely with business stakeholders and clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries using joins, subqueries, CTEs, window functions, and indexing • Tune and optimize database performance within SQL Server environments • Translate business requirements into technical solutions and technical concepts back into business-friendly language • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data solutions align with business needs • Support procure-to-pay (P2P) systems and related data processes • Assist with reporting, analytics, and dashboard development as needed Qualifications: • 5-10 years of hands-on experience as a SQL Developer or SQL Server Developer • Advanced SQL expertise with a strong preference for SQL Server background • Proven experience translating business requirements into technical requirements and vice versa • Strong communication skills, with experience presenting technical information to non-technical audiences • Knowledge and experience with procure-to-pay systems and processes • Nice to have: experience with Python, R, JavaScript, and/or Power BI or dashboard development • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship Compensation and Benefits: The pay rate for this position is between $60.00 and $75.00 per hour, dependent on work location.
