Staff Python Developer (Fintech)
Hello,
We have an urgent opening for “ Staff Python Developer". in Baltimore, MD.
• Only looking for candidates who can work on W2
• Strictly no C2C or third-party vendors
Qualifications
• 10+ years of professional experience in backend development with Python.
• Proven experience building production systems in fintech or financial services domains (e.g., banking, trading, lending, payments, or asset management).
• Deep understanding of software architecture, data modeling, and system design for financial applications.
• Strong knowledge of financial concepts such as pricing, reconciliation, settlement, risk, compliance, or ledger systems.
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases, message queues, and distributed systems.
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and working in a CI/CD environment.
• Solid grasp of security best practices, especially as they relate to financial data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A strong sense of ownership and the ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with event-driven architectures and real-time data processing.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Background in quantitative finance, crypto, machine learning, or algorithmic trading is a plus.
• Experience working in regulated environments or with financial compliance standards (e.g., SOC2, PCI, GDPR).
