Role description
SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Statistical Data Analyst or a on-site opportunity in Columbia, SC. The ideal candidate will support healthcare oversight and operational analytics initiatives by performing complex data analysis, reporting, and process improvement activities within a managed care environment. This role requires a highly adaptable professional who can interpret data trends, communicate findings to leadership, and collaborate across technical and operational teams.
Required Qualifications for the Statistical Data Analyst:
• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
• Master’s degree in Data Science, Public Health, Statistics, Health Informatics, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of data analysis methodologies, data collection techniques, and statistical interpretation.
• Experience using tools such as SAS, Python, Excel, and other analytical software platforms.
• Ability to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights from large datasets.
• Experience creating reports, dashboards, and data visualizations for leadership teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
• Experience developing or maintaining policies, procedures, and process documentation.
• Candidates must currently reside in South Carolina. Relocation is not available for this position.
Preferred Skills/Experience of the Statistical Data Analyst:
• Experience working with healthcare, Medicaid, or other public sector data systems.
• Familiarity with federal or state healthcare reporting environments and compliance standards.
• Experience with managed care operations, oversight activities, or healthcare analytics.
• Knowledge of data visualization and business intelligence tools.
Responsibilities of the Statistical Data Analyst:
• Conduct detailed analysis of healthcare and operational datasets using trend analysis, outlier identification, and data validation techniques.
• Develop recurring reports, dashboards, and monitoring tools to support oversight and decision-making initiatives.
• Communicate analytical findings, reporting results, and recommendations to leadership and internal stakeholders.
• Create and maintain policies, procedures, and documentation related to reporting and data governance activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operational staff, IT teams, vendors, and external partners.
• Support special projects, process improvement efforts, and other organizational initiatives as assigned.
Work Location: 100% on-site. Columbia, SC.
