Description:
β’ Uses quantitative and analytical skills to mine, process and analyze data using (In Order of importance:) Python, SQL, Power BI, SAS, R, MS Excel or similar spreadsheet programs, and other business tools.
β’ Develops and presents analysis on performance, trends, and projections to upper management to facilitate business and strategic decisions.
β’ Prepares and distributes recurring and ad-hoc analysis and reporting on portfolios including performance and projections.
β’ Provides easy-to-understand, action-oriented analytical reports and other presentations to the management team.
β’ Build, recalibrate, and validate advanced predictive models.
β’ Identifies and evaluates portfolio trends and KPIs with respect to market valuations, depreciation, residuals, and other factors.
β’ Trouble-shoots data deficiencies and errors to ensure timely and accurate analysis of the data.
β’ Confers with IT and functional business lines to evaluate, design, implement, and maintain relational databases and/or large data sets.
Required Experience:
β’ 2-3 years of experience in data analytics, such as data mining, business analytics and databases.
β’ Proficient with Python, SQL, PowerBI, R or other business intelligence software.
β’ Proficient with using Microsoft Office Suite applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Power BI.
β’ Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and apply concepts to practical situations.
β’ Experience with statistical analysis software/languages (R, Python, SQL, & SAS) in addition to training in statistical modeling, data analysis, or computer programing.
β’ Detail oriented with problem solving and critical thinking abilities.
β’ Ability to apply common sense understanding to practical situations when carrying out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
β’ Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Education:
β’ Masterβs Degree and/or PhD in: Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Finance, or other quantitative fields highly preferred!
