Role description
Role Summary Lead healthcare business intelligence and data science initiatives to improve clinical operations, patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and cost performance. Partner with physicians, nurses, executives, and operational leaders to translate clinical and business needs into scalable analytics solutions, predictive models, and executive dashboards. Key Responsibilities • Lead clinical and operational analytics projects from requirements through deployment. • Develop scalable BI solutions, dashboards, and reporting frameworks using Python, SQL, and visualization tools (Tableau, QlikView, Power BI). • Build predictive models and apply statistical analysis to support clinical and operational decision-making. • Analyze healthcare data from health information systems (e.g., Epic) to improve quality, patient outcomes, workflows, and operational performance. • Lead data governance, KPI standardization, automation, and "single source of truth" reporting initiatives. • Conduct cost modeling, financial impact analysis, capacity planning, and ROI analysis. • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, clinicians, and executives to drive process improvement and strategic initiatives. • Mentor team members and communicate complex analytical insights to technical and non-technical audiences. Required: • Bachelor’s Degree Degree in engineering, computer engineering, or data science • 3-5 years experience in business/ data analytics, healthcare analytics, healthcare quality, clinical and operations decision support or related field. • 1 - 2 years in a lead/senior role. • Working knowledge of back-end databases (e.g., relational designs) spreadsheets, word processing, statistical software, analytical models, data science principles and application, and data visualization programs (e.g., Tableau, Qlikview, Qliksense, Power BI). • Knowledge of business (operational, clinical and financial) statistics and data analyses techniques. • Expert knowledge in Python, R, and/or SQL software programming • Ability to manage, analyze, and derive clinical and operational insights from health system information technologies. • Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills. • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including but not limited to: o Developing dynamic, constructive working relationships and partnerships with operational and clinical partners. o Excellent interpersonal skills (negotiation, listening and communication skills) characterized by effective interactions with a diverse range of internal and external constituents, stakeholders and audiences. o Relationship driven, consultative, a team player, able to effectively lead process improvement initiatives. o Possesses a good understanding of Business Intelligence tools, technology platform, and related systems to handle queries about clinical and business data/analytical solutions. o Be adept at presenting technical materials to a non-technical audiences, applying human factors principles and user centered design principles, understanding user workflows, applying statistical methods platforms such as Qlikview and Tableau Preferred: • Master’s degree Degree (Health Administration, Nursing, Industrial Engineering, Analytics) • Expertise in data science, including machine learning approaches to produce predictive models; • Proficiency in statistical approaches; • Master level expertise in data visualization platforms such as Qlikview and Tableau
