Role description
Job Overview The Stepwise Automation Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise grade automation workflows and integrations using the Stepwise platform. This role plays a key part in translating business needs into scalable, efficient automation solutions while ensuring reliability, performance, and documentation standards are met. The resource will deliver the solutions aligned with defined business requirements and delivery timelines. Key Responsibilities β€’ Design, develop, and maintain automation workflows and integrations using the Stepwise platform. β€’ Translate business requirements into scalable, efficient, and maintainable process flows. β€’ Build, configure, and optimize data pipelines, API integrations, and event driven automation processes. β€’ Collaborate with cross functional teams (business, data, technology, and delivery) to identify automation opportunities and implement solutions. β€’ Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance existing workflows to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability. β€’ Apply best practices to automation design, error handling, logging, and reusability. β€’ Document automation processes, configurations, and standards for internal teams and client use. β€’ Support continuous improvement initiatives by refining workflows based on operational feedback and metrics. Required Qualifications Education β€’ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience. Technical Skills β€’ Hands‑on experience with automation platforms (Stepwise preferred). β€’ Strong understanding of workflow automation, system integrations, and data movement concepts. β€’ Proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas, to support configuration and calculation logic. β€’ Strong SQL skills to support data validation, analysis, and configuration work within Stepwise tools. β€’ Experience working with APIs, structured data sources, and event based processing. β€’ Ability to troubleshoot automation workflows and resolve technical issues efficiently. Professional Skills β€’ Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities. β€’ Ability to interpret and translate complex business requirements into technical solutions. β€’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills. β€’ Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross functional, fast paced environments. β€’ Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and reliability. Nice to Have β€’ Experience supporting automation initiatives in healthcare, life sciences, or regulated environments. β€’ Exposure to enterprise data platforms, analytics workflows, or ETL concepts. β€’ Familiarity with Agile or iterative delivery methodologies. β€’ Experience documenting technical solutions for both internal and client audiences.
