Sourcing Manager IV
Location: Onsite - Coppell, TX
Position Type: ~10-month contract, potential to extend
Pay Range: $59 - 68/hr + benefits
Role Overview
β’ We are seeking a data-driven and strategic Sourcing Manager to oversee vendor performance and lead commodity strategies. In this role, you will balance the execution of mid-level sourcing activities with the support of high-priority, complex initiatives. The ideal candidate is an analytical powerhouseβsomeone who can navigate the complexities of contract management and supplier reviews while leveraging data tools to build compelling business cases.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Define and implement commodity and supplier strategies that align with long-term business goals. Adopt and refine best-practice procurement processes.
β’ Manage the full lifecycle of vendor performance, ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and Purchase Orders (POs).
β’ Monitor and report on category performance against set targets. Conduct regular, rigorous supplier performance reviews to drive continuous improvement.
β’ Support highly complex initiatives by analyzing vendor performance, monitoring contract execution, and building data-backed business cases for leadership.
β’ Act as a bridge between procurement leadership and business stakeholders, providing clear updates on project status, contracts, and strategic pivots.
β’ Track and report on KPI performance, ensuring all metrics are transparent and actionable.
Required Qualifications
β’ Proven experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or vendor performance management.
β’ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. You should be comfortable manipulating large datasets to identify trends and performance gaps.
β’ Practical experience managing SOWs, letter agreements, and complex service agreements.
β’ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex procurement data into clear updates for executive leadership.
β’ Demonstrated ability to build business cases and execute supplier strategies from the ground up.
Preferred Skills
β’ Technical Tools: Experience with Power BI or SQL is highly preferred to automate reporting and enhance data visualization.
β’ Industry Knowledge: Previous experience managing specific commodity categories or high-value vendor portfolios.
