Role description
Support Engineer (Bug Fixing & Data Quality) Location: Remote W2 Contract Required β€’ Strong SQL β€” ability to write complex investigative queries against large clinical datasets β€’ Java experience β€” comfortable reading, debugging, and fixing code in a Java codebase β€’ Production debugging skills β€” can trace issues across APIs, databases, and data pipelines β€’ Comfortable working independently and under time pressure on time-sensitive issues Preferred β€’ Healthcare data experience (FHIR, HL7, clinical data models) β€’ Experience with HAPI FHIR or similar healthcare Java libraries β€’ Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Docker) for log access and environment β€’ troubleshooting β€’ On-call or incident response experience Day-to-Day β€’ Investigate and resolve data quality issues reported by clinical teams or internal monitoring β€’ Debug and fix bugs in the Java codebase β€” ranging from data mapping errors to API failures β€’ Write SQL queries to trace data lineage, identify root causes, and validate fixes β€’ Participate in on-call rotation β€” respond to production alerts and triage incidents β€’ Document issues and fixes to build team knowledge and reduce repeat incidents β€’ Address tech debt that contributes to recurring bugs or instability
