Role description
Job Summary – System/DevOps Engineer • Support and maintain both on-premises and AWS-based systems and infrastructure. • Build, configure, and manage AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, APIs, etc.). • Script, create, and modify Jenkins pipelines to automate code deployments. • Configure and maintain Apache and Nginx web servers. • Design, build, and support Docker containers and containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes/ECS). • Perform system analysis, performance tuning, capacity planning, and trend analysis. • Prepare and execute change plans for system implementations or updates. • Provide technical guidance and documentation; participate in on-call rotation. • Collaborate with engineering, security, and network teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize system performance. • Utilize scripting (Bash, Python), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Puppet), CI/CD tools (Jenkins, CircleCI), monitoring/logging solutions (Splunk, New Relic, CloudWatch), and version control systems (Git, Bitbucket). • Manage networking (load balancing, firewall rules, certificates) and database administration (MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB). • Employ Agile tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, and Redmine. • Requires 3–5+ years’ experience in Systems Engineering/DevOps and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
