Role description
This is a dynamic hybrid role combining systems analysis, solution design, and enterprise content management consulting within a Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online environment. The ideal candidate serves as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams, delivering end-to-end support across solution design, governance, user enablement, and operational support. Working within an Agile delivery model, this individual brings both technical depth and strong interpersonal skills to drive adoption, reduce support overhead, and ensure that enterprise content management solutions align with organizational governance and compliance standards. The role offers high visibility and direct collaboration with senior team members, making it an excellent opportunity for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, user-facing environment with both strategic and hands-on responsibilities. Responsibilities • Design and implement SharePoint Online solutions including site architecture, structure, permissions models, and content organization • Translate business requirements into scalable, supportable technical solutions aligned with governance and enterprise standards • Lead SharePoint and Microsoft 365 training, onboarding efforts, and user adoption initiatives • Develop job aids, training materials, how-to articles, and reusable learning content for business users and site owners • Provide hands-on coaching to site owners and business users, promoting best practices for content organization, permissions, and site design • Monitor user adoption trends and proactively identify and address gaps in utilization or understanding • Serve as a primary contact for SharePoint user support, managing and triaging requests through ServiceNow, email, and Teams • Coordinate with technical teams for escalations and participate in daily and weekly support huddles and backlog prioritization in JIRA • Ensure timely resolution and closure of support requests • Guide users on permissions models and secure data access practices • Support governance rollout including policies, standards, and lifecycle management • Assist with metadata design, content organization strategies, and consistent use of templates and standards • Support SharePoint migration initiatives including content cleanup and pre- and post-migration user assistance • Help define migration support models and user intake processes, and provide post-go-live stabilization and issue resolution • Partner with IT, governance, and business teams to align priorities and contribute to knowledge base and reusable solution assets • Mentor junior team members and support intern development • Contribute to governance, architecture, and design standards across the enterprise platform Skills • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 applications, M365 Admin Center configurations, and security concepts • Proficiency in SharePoint Online site architecture, navigation, page design, lists, libraries, metadata, and content organization • Deep knowledge of SharePoint permissions models including M365 Groups, SharePoint Groups, and inheritance • Familiarity with Azure Cloud infrastructure, access control, and data protection principles • Demonstrated ability to collect and analyze requirements and accurately assess business needs • Experience crafting effective solutions to address unique business challenges using existing technologies • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to handle both operational support and strategic solution design • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences • Ability to train, coach, and influence users at varying levels of technical proficiency • Experience working across multiple stakeholders in a large enterprise environment • Familiarity with Agile delivery models and backlog management tools such as JIRA • Ability to work independently with minimal direction in a fast-paced environment • Knowledge of Microsoft Purview including retention labels, file plans, records declaration, and data lifecycle reviews is a plus • Experience with sensitivity labels, DLP policies, and information protection and governance strategies is a plus • Familiarity with SharePoint Advanced Management, migration tools, Power Automate, and large-scale metadata strategy is a plus • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and emerging AI capabilities Experience • Hands-on experience as a SharePoint practitioner in a large enterprise Microsoft 365 environment • Demonstrated experience in systems analysis, solution design, and implementation • Experience developing and delivering end-user training, job aids, and instructional content • Experience improving business processes and user workflows through technology solutions • Prior experience supporting enterprise content management or governance initiatives Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience • Microsoft 365 or SharePoint certifications are a plus The closing date for applications for this job posting is 6/13/2026.
