Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Tableau Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with the Tableau visualization platform, including Tableau Desktop and Server, and a strong background in implementing Tableau solutions for financial businesses, particularly in the asset management and hedge fund sectors. This role will involve guiding the business on best practices for Tableau visualizations, as well as establishing a standard Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process for Tableau development, testing, and deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement interactive Tableau dashboards and visualizations that meet business requirements and enhance decision-making processes.
- Review, Refine and Optimize visualizations that are already built by the business teams for performance efficiency and speed
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective Tableau solutions.
- Install, configure, and maintain Tableau Server and Tableau Desktop environments based on the AWM Tableau COE guidelines
- Provide expert guidance on Tableau best practices for data visualization, including design principles, user experience, and data storytelling.
- Develop and implement a standard SDLC process for Tableau visualization development, including requirements gathering, design, testing, and deployment.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for business users to enhance their understanding of Tableau and empower them to create their own visualizations.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Tableau performance issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to business operations.
- Stay up to date with the latest Tableau features and industry trends and recommend improvements to existing processes and tools.
Skills:
• 8+ years of experience in data warehousing, business intelligence, and reporting platforms, with a strong focus on Tableau, Qlik and IBM Cognos.
• Proven expertise in developing interactive and dynamic dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
• Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts and working experience in relational and dimensional modelling is required.
• Technical depth and ability to rapidly understand and communicate the impact of solutions and technology.
• Experience collaborating with business representatives to understand requirements, value, prioritization and business intelligence needs.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, with a proactive approach to managing multiple priorities.
• Experience working in onshore/offshore model.
• Any experience reporting on Databricks platforms is a plus.
