You are, first and foremost, a technical problem-solver. • You won't just use our ATS (Applicant Tracking System); you'll actively develop it. You'll be, contributing code and logic to improve our internal models for candidate matching, skill assessment, and bias reduction. • You will automate the mundane. See a repetitive task? Script it. See a data bottleneck? Build an API integration for it. You’ll use Python/JavaScript/Go to build tools that make our entire talent acquisition process smarter and faster. • You're a peer, not a salesperson. When you talk to a Senior Backend Engineer, you're not reading from a script. You're having a deep, technical conversation—developer to developer. You'll be the first technical gatekeeper, earning trust and credibility instantly. What You'll Do: Engineer Our Hiring Engine The Engineering & Automation (50%): • Develop & Deploy: Write, test, and deploy scripts (Python, JavaScript, etc.) to automate sourcing, screening, and scheduling. • Contribute to AI: Partner directly with our core engineering team to design, test, and refine AI models within our ATS. Your insights will directly impact how we identify "high-potential" candidates from vast data sets. • Data Analysis: Dig into hiring metrics. Build dashboards. Find the bottlenecks (e.g., "Why do candidates drop off after the system design round?") and propose technical or process-based solutions. • Tooling & Integration: Manage and integrate our entire recruiting tech stack (ATS, sourcing tools, assessment platforms) via APIs to create a seamless, data-driven workflow. The People & Strategy (50%): • Technical First-Contact: Act as the first technical ambassador for AVM. Conduct initial, in-depth technical discussions with candidates to assess their skills, motivations, and cultural fit. • Strategic Partner: You'll be the Engineering Manager's best friend. You’ll understand their roadmap, help them define exactly what they need (not just what they ask for), and build a pipeline of talent to meet those goals. • Own the Experience: Ensure every candidate, whether hired or not, has a positive, respectful, and efficient experience that reflects our engineering culture. What We're Looking For (The Requirements) This is a developer role, and we'll interview you as one. • 3+ years of hands-on software development experience (e.g., Python, Java, Go, JavaScript, C#, etc.). • Strong CS fundamentals: You must be able to confidently discuss data structures, algorithms, and system design. • A "builder" mindset: You're excited by the idea of building internal tools, working with APIs, and automating workflows. • High Empathy & EQ: You're a strong communicator who genuinely enjoys talking to other engineers and helping them grow their careers. • Curiosity in AI/ML: You don't need to be an ML expert, but you should be excited about the potential of using AI in a practical, ethical way to improve recruitment.
