Tech Hardware - Supply Chain Planner 3 Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Tech Hardware - Supply Chain Planner for a contract position in Austin, TX. The opportunity will be six months with a strong chance for a long-term extension. Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities: The team is responsible for managing supply chain planning for the overall cloud business. • Key projects: Contribute to managing day-to-day supply changes and Power BI automations. • Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role involves various daily activities, including managing supply changes and creating Power BI automations. Occasionally, you will meet with different teams to discuss actions and keep everyone updated. Most of the time will be spent focused on tasks. <>Supply Planning Execution • Manage end-to-end supply planning processes, including demand-supply alignment, forecast validation, and supportability analysis. • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate data flow between SAP IBP and ISP dashboards. • Monitor inventory health, PO coverage, and lead-time logic to maintain planning accuracy. <>Power BI Development • Design and build interactive dashboards and reports for supply planning metrics (e.g., forecast accuracy, buffer health, rack supportability). • Implement governance best practices for Power BI workspaces, roles, and data security. • Optimize dashboards for usability and performance, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards. <>Data Integration & Analysis • Connect multiple data sources into Power BI for consolidated views. • Develop custom visuals and advanced analytics to support decision-making. • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across planning and reporting platforms. • This role offers the opportunity to work in a cross-functional position, bridging the gap between demand and downstream sourcing partners. It provides firsthand exposure to cloud growth and insights into how the team achieves this, as well as an understanding of how cloud technology is evolving and growing with AI. Qualifications: • Years of Experience Required: 5 years of supply planning experience, ideally in the tech hardware supply chain. • Degrees or Certifications Required: A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or a related field. • The ideal candidate will have significant previous experience working in supply planning, especially in the tech supply chain. A Power BI data analyst certificate is preferred. The candidate should possess strong business acumen and the ability to think and plan strategically. Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are crucial. • Performance Indicators: Success will be measured by the ability to meet deadlines and solve data-related issues through automation, delivering high-quality results. • Minimum 5 years of experience with supply chain/planning, preferably in tech. • Minimum 5 years of experience creating dashboards in Power BI, along with some experience with SQL, SAP IBP, and Excel. • Minimum 5 years of experience summarizing complex concepts to engage broader audiences, with strong analytical skills and expertise in root cause analysis/problem-solving, and the ability to implement and drive corrective actions and efficiencies in a matrix environment. • 5 years of experience in supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience. Preferred: • Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency in Power BI (including DAX, data modelling, and dashboard design). • Experience with SAP IBP or similar planning tools. • Familiarity with governance frameworks for BI tools (workspace roles, security, compliance). • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Word and Excel.
