Tech Lead Full Stack

Avanciers is seeking a highly Python Tech Lead - Full Stack Consultant to join our team for an exciting long-term contract with one of our esteemed clients, based in Washington, DC (Remote). Preferred Location - New Jersey / New York / Washington DC area. Candidates are expected to be available to visit the New Jersey office and/or the client office (near Washington DC) on an occasional basis. Role Overview • Hybrid Leadership & Coding: Requires 8+ years of total software engineering experience (including 3+ years in a leadership role), balancing hands-on development and code reviews with team mentorship. • Diverse Full-Stack Ecosystem: Demands strong expertise in Python and Django for distributed systems, combined with solid proficiency in Node.js, React, TypeScript, and GraphQL. • Advanced Architecture: Focuses on the integration of complex microfrontend and microservice architectures, ensuring seamless frontend and backend connectivity. • Developer Tooling & Platform Focus: Requires experience leading internal tooling initiatives, utilizing strong Linux/shell scripting skills and Make-driven developer workflows. • Containerization & DevOps: Emphasizes hands-on experience with Docker/Docker Compose (especially for local dev environments), cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and driving improvements in CI/CD pipeline reliability. • Offshore Team Coordination: Requires a proven track record of managing, mentoring, and ensuring effective communication across distributed and offshore development teams. • Agile Project Delivery: Responsible for collaborating with product owners and stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment to translate business needs into scalable, high-quality technical solutions.
