Role description
We're currently looking for a Technical Business Analyst for an immediate contract to join a major digital transformation programme focused on modernising core business systems, building a unified tracking platform and delivering a cloud-first architecture. THE ROLE - Technical Business Analyst IR35: Outside Length: 6 months Day rate: c. £450 per day As a Technical Business Analyst, you'll work closely with developers, architects and product teams, helping shape solutions involving Azure-based services, integrations, APIs, event-driven architecture and operational tracking systems. Working within an Agile environment, you'll act as the brigde between business stakeholders and onshore and offshore delivery teams, owning requirements from discovery and definition through refinement, sprint execution and implementation. What You'll Be Doing • Elicit, analyse and document business and technical requirements • Write high-quality user stories with clear acceptance criteria • Lead backlog refinement sessions with engineering teams • Support sprint planning and ensure stories are delivery-ready • Act as the primary point of clarification during sprint delivery • Work closely with technical teams to understand system behaviour, integrations and dependencies • Map business processes, data flows and system interactions • Collaborate with architects and developers on solution design • Facilitate workshops with business and technical stakeholders • Support delivery of cloud migration and replatforming initiatives PERSON REQUIREMENTS • Proven experience as a Technical Business / Systems Analyst within Agile software delivery environments • Strong understanding of Agile ceremonies and BA responsibilities across the delivery • lifecycle • Demonstrable experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria • Experience facilitating backlog refinement and supporting development teams during sprint delivery • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills • Ability to challenge, clarify and uncover requirements effectively Technical knowledge Required You'll need enough technical depth to engage confidently with engineering teams and understand how systems interact. Experience in some of the following would be highly beneficial: • API integrations and service-based architectures • Event-driven systems and messaging platforms • Azure cloud environments • Data flows and system integrations • Replatforming or digital transformation programmes • Operational tracking, logistics, order management or fulfil • ment systems • Understanding of databases, reporting pipelines and system architecture Desirable • Experience working on enterprise-scale transformation programmes • Background within retail, ecommerce, supply chain, or operational technologyenvironments • Previous experience in a technical, development or systems focused role NEXT STEPS We are shortlisting now with interviews to take place Tuesday/Wednesday w/c 29th June.
