About the Client One of our clients is the Investment and Corporate Banking subsidiary of a highly reputed global Tier-1 bank with over 7000 employees in their service. One of the top five largest banks in North America, this institution manages assets of over $650bn and is renowned for being a trusted partner with a consistently high capital base and established presence in all the mature Capital Markets worldwide. The bank has been working on a transformative programme to modernise its trade and market data systems, building robust, scalable, cross-asset platforms driven by recent world-class appointments in senior technology and business management. About the Programme We are looking for a talented individual to join as a Technical Business Analyst within the Funding, Treasury and Liquidity (FTL) Programme. You will report to the Product Owner, based in London, and form part of a development pod within the region. The role will focus primarily on Pre-Trade activities within the Central Funding Group, working primarily on the ATOM application, however, a portion of time will also be spent on Post-Trade activities on the Apex vendor platform. ATOM is a greenfield global front office analytics, risk and trade order management platform used globally by the Central Funding business. You will be responsible for delivering enhancements on the ATOM platform, as well as providing day-to-day support to traders using both ATOM and Apex. In this role you will participate in the SDLC from the beginning, where you will be involved in requirements gathering workshops and ad-hoc sessions, right through to sign-off on test results before deployment. You will have the opportunity to interact with senior leadership, traders and technology teams across the organisation. Key Skills Necessary skills include: • Ability to translate requirements from non-technical Front Office and Back Office users into clear specifications for developers • Ability to explain technical issues and constraints back to non-technical stakeholders • Proficiency in data modelling • Ability to query relational databases (SQL) to a functional level • Familiarity with Capital Markets environments • Comfortable using AI tools to support requirements gathering, prototyping and test case development • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a global team split across several different locations and time zones Nice to Have Skills • Experience gathering requirements for Front Office users • Understanding of the Repo and Sec Lending markets (Front Office, Settlements and Collateral Management) • Understanding of P&L valuation methods, including clean vs. dirty P&L, realized vs. unrealized P&L, and carry/funding P&L specific to repo trading • Knowledge of risk calculation methods, including PV01/DV01, Value at Risk (VaR), duration/convexity, and collateral haircut and counterparty exposure calculations • Knowledge or familiarity with messaging protocols such as FIX, FpML etc. Next steps This is an excellent opportunity to establish yourself within a rapidly expanding consultancy firm working on a key client in a long-term quantitative front-office project.
