Technical Business Analyst

Job Posting: Technical Business Analyst Location: Fort Worth, TX (Hybrid – 4 days onsite) Duration: 12-Month Contract Overview CornerStone Technology Talent Services is seeking a Data-Driven Technical Business Analyst to support operational and strategy teams through data analysis, reporting, and process improvement. This role is ideal for someone who goes beyond traditional requirements gathering and takes ownership of reporting outputs, data validation, and delivering actionable insights that drive business performance. Key Responsibilities • Translate business needs into technical reporting specifications (metrics, dimensions, filters, calculations) • Develop, maintain, and validate recurring and ad hoc reports • Analyze data to identify trends, variances, and performance insights • Partner with stakeholders to support data-driven decision making • Troubleshoot and resolve data quality and reporting issues • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting outputs • Serve as a liaison between business teams and data/technical teams Required Skills & Experience • Strong experience with SQL (query writing and optimization) • Hands-on experience with reporting tools (Cognos preferred) • Experience working with large, complex datasets from multiple sources • Proficiency in Microsoft Access and Microsoft Office Suite • Strong background in data validation and troubleshooting • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and support forecasting decisions • Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions Preferred Qualifications • Experience with SAS • Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau • Experience in collections, recovery, financial data, or performance-driven environments • Exposure to report automation and process improvement initiatives What We’re Looking For • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills • Proven ability to work in data-driven, fast-paced environments Work Environment • Hybrid schedule (4 days onsite in Fort Worth, TX) • Business casual environment
