Role description
Role: Technical Business Analyst (PLM) Location: Beverly Hills, CA (onsite) Duration: 12 months Note: Must have hands on PLM tools (Andromeda or any other) experience. Position Summary • We are looking for a Junior Technical Business Analyst to support the delivery, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of business-critical systems and processes. • This role will act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, helping define requirements, support issue resolution, document workflows, assist with testing, and help ensure solutions align with business goals. • Business Analyst function serves as a systems specialist and partner between the business and technical teams, with a strong focus on requirements gathering, clarity of scope, and efficient delivery. • This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who is analytical, organized, technically curious, and excited to learn how enterprise systems support functions such as merchandising, product creation, planning, production, operations, and related business workflows. The role is well aligned to teams that support PLM, ERP, integrations, and operational process improvements. Key Responsibilities • Partner with business stakeholders to gather, organize, and document business and system requirements for new requests, enhancements, and process improvements. • Help define the business problem, clarify objectives, identify key requirements, and support scoping for incoming work. • Serve as a point of coordination between business users and technical teams to ensure clear communication and shared understanding. • Support day-to-day issue triage, troubleshooting, and resolution across business platforms and third-party systems. • Assist with testing activities, including test case preparation, validation of new functionality, and bug tracking. • Create and maintain documentation such as process flows, business requirements, SOPs, release notes and user guides. • Help monitor system usage, data quality, and process adherence, and support analysis that improves system effectiveness and data integrity. • Participate in project implementation activities from requirements gathering through testing, training and post-launch support. • Support cross-functional meetings by capturing action items, following up on open questions, and helping keep work organized and moving forward. • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across departments and develop an understanding of the business processes supported by technology. • Help ensure changes stay within agreed scope and that new out-of-scope requests are properly documented and routed through the intake process. Qualifications • 1–3 years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, project coordination, technology operations, or a related role. • Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into clear documentation. • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail. • Analytical mindset with the ability to break down problems and identify practical solutions. • Comfort working with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. • Basic understanding of business systems, software development lifecycle concepts, and system implementation processes. • Experience with requirements documentation, testing, data analysis, or process mapping is a plus. • Exposure to PLM, ERP, retail, supply chain, merchandising, or apparel industry systems is a plus. • Familiarity with tools such as Asana, SharePoint, ticketing systems, Excel, and reporting or BI tools is a plus. • SQL or other technical/reporting skills are a plus.
