Role description
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Partner with stakeholders across P&C business and technology teams to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
• Support initiatives impacting Claims, Policy Administration, Sales & Servicing, Data & Analytics, Document Management, Billing, and Integration Platforms.
• Translate business requirements into detailed user stories, process flows, functional specifications, and data mapping documents.
• Analyze data across multiple systems to identify trends, gaps, dependencies, and business opportunities.
• Collaborate with developers, data engineers, architects, and product owners to design and implement scalable solutions.
• Define, document, and maintain business rules, KPIs, metrics, and data definitions to ensure reporting consistency.
• Perform data analysis using SQL and other reporting tools to validate business logic, data quality, and system integrations.
• Facilitate requirements workshops, stakeholder meetings, backlog grooming sessions, and solution reviews.
• Support data modeling, ETL, reporting, and dashboard initiatives by ensuring technical solutions align with business objectives.
• Create and execute test scenarios, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and validate solutions against documented requirements.
• Assist with Tableau and other reporting solutions to deliver actionable business insights.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions that improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
• Manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining clear communication across business and technical teams.
Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or Data Analyst.
• Strong experience supporting enterprise applications, data platforms, and business process improvement initiatives.
• Proven ability to gather, document, and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Advanced SQL skills with experience analyzing large datasets and validating business requirements.
• Experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, data modeling concepts, and data integration workflows.
• Hands-on experience supporting reporting and analytics platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI tools.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including user stories, backlog management, sprint planning, and UAT.
• Experience using Jira, Clarity, Azure DevOps, or similar project and requirements management tools.
• Ability to create process maps, business requirements documents (BRDs), functional requirements documents (FRDs), and data flow diagrams.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technical teams.
