Role description
Technical Business Analyst | £400 - £500
We're working with a high-growth digital transformation specialist on this exciting opportunity.
This isn't a role for a BA who likes to stay at the surface level; we need someone who wants to get under the hood of complex system architectures. You will be embedded with engineering teams, driving the design of API-driven integrations and microservices in a fast-paced, agile environment.
The Role
• Translating complex business needs into deep technical specifications for microservices and distributed systems.
• Defining API contracts, payloads, and integration workflows using JSON and XML standards.
• Analyzing and troubleshooting complex data flows using SQL and PL/SQL to ensure system integrity.
• Collaborating directly with Architects and Engineers to shape technically viable solutions that scale.
• Taking a lead role in backlog refinement, technical grooming, and sprint planning within an Agile framework.
What You'll Need
• Extensive experience as a Technical Business Analyst specifically within API-heavy or integration environments.
• Strong technical literacy in REST/SOAP APIs, microservices architecture, and modern data structures.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL / PL/SQL—you must be comfortable querying databases and validating data logic yourself.
• The ability to "think like a developer" while maintaining a clear bridge to stakeholder requirements.
• Proven experience delivering within high-performing Agile teams using tools like Jira and Confluence.
What's On Offer
• Competitive day rate of £400 - £500 per day.
• Remote-friendly working environment with a focus on delivery over desk-time.
• The chance to work on high-impact, technical projects where your input shapes the final product.
• Exposure to modern tech stacks and collaborative engineering cultures.
