Job Title: Technical Business Analyst (MSS & Telecom Segmentation)
Position Type: Contract (W2)
Pay Range: $45–$48/hour (W2)
Location: Rochester, MN 55901 (Hybrid ~50% onsite, flexible based on project needs)
Shift: Standard Business Hours

Required Education & Certifications (Mandatory)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, Engineering, Technology, Healthcare, Marketing, Statistics, or related field (REQUIRED)
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant business and/or technical experience (REQUIRED)
• No certifications required
Required Skills & Experience (Mandatory)
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (IP, routing, firewalling, segmentation) (REQUIRED)
• Experience as a Technical Business Analyst or Systems-focused BA in infrastructure, networking, or security domains (REQUIRED)
• Ability to work with engineering and security teams to gather and document requirements (REQUIRED)
• Experience documenting technical requirements, system behavior, and operational workflows (REQUIRED)
• Strong experience with requirements gathering, analysis, and traceability documentation (REQUIRED)
• Ability to translate complex technical discussions into structured business and system requirements (REQUIRED)
• Familiarity with ServiceNow (CMDB or workflow tracking) (REQUIRED or strongly preferred depending on team)
• Strong analytical thinking and root cause analysis skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple initiatives
• Ability to work in cross-functional enterprise environments (Security, Network, Telecom, Operations)
Preferred Skills & Experience
• Experience in network segmentation, least privilege, or zero trust security models
• Experience with Telecom or MSS (Managed Security Services) environments
• Familiarity with ServiceNow CMDB and infrastructure inventory systems

Job Description / Project
This role serves as the primary Technical Business Analyst supporting MSS and Telecom device segmentation initiatives, ensuring accurate documentation and execution of enterprise segmentation strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
• Identifying and documenting device populations, attributes, ownership, and operational context
• Analyzing and documenting communication flows, dependencies, and segmentation requirements
• Translating technical discussions into clear requirements, enforcement rules, and validation criteria
• Supporting validation of segmentation enforcement using ServiceNow as system of record
• Maintaining traceability between device inventories, segmentation rules, and enforcement outcomes
• Creating and maintaining standardized documentation and workflows
• Collaborating with Network, Security, Telecom, and MSS teams
• Supporting enterprise Zero Trust and least privilege security initiatives
Additional Requirements
• Hybrid role (~50% onsite; flexibility based on project phase)
• Must be comfortable working in technical enterprise infrastructure environments
• Strong ability to operate in fast-paced, highly collaborative delivery programs
