Schedule: Hybrid – 3 Days/Week Onsite

Position Overview
We are seeking a Technical / Data Analyst to support a large-scale People Domain Activation initiative focused on transitioning HR and People data into an enterprise Data-as-a-Product operating model.
This individual will work closely with Domain Owners, Data Stewards, Architects, Data Engineering teams, and business stakeholders to help define, govern, analyze, and activate People-related data assets across the organization.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience with HR/People data, enterprise data governance, analytics, metadata management, and data quality initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the inventory and documentation of People domain data assets
• Partner with data architects and engineers to support conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling initiatives
• Define data quality rules, validations, and issue management workflows for People domain assets
• Translate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and data mapping specifications
• Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets from multiple sources to identify trends and actionable insights
• Utilize Microsoft Purview, including data catalog and lineage capabilities, to identify trusted datasets and assess downstream reporting impact
• Work directly with business users to gather requirements and develop analytical and reporting solutions
• Support strategic initiatives and business cases through quantitative analysis and data-driven recommendations
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to establish and improve data management best practices
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through analytics and process improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
• Strong understanding of HR / People data and related business processes
• Deep knowledge of People / HR architecture and enterprise data environments
• Experience handling PI/PHI-sensitive data
• Exposure to enterprise Data Management & Governance standards and operating models
• Strong SQL and Excel skills
• Experience with Python for data analysis is preferred
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to present complex data concepts in a clear and concise manner
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working within HR, People Analytics, or the insurance industry
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Purview, including data catalog and lineage capabilities
• Familiarity with cloud-based data lake, data hub, or enterprise database environments
• Experience working within Agile and cross-functional delivery teams
