Technical Data Lead – Enterprise Data Platform | Manchester | 12 Months I'm currently recruiting for a Technical Data Lead to join a major Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) transformation programme with a leading UK financial services organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the technical design and delivery of how business applications consume data from a new enterprise-wide data platform. 📍 Location: Manchester (Hybrid) 📅 Contract: 12 months (initial) What you'll be doing: • Lead the technical design for consumption of the Enterprise Data Platform. • Drive solution architecture and design across multiple engineering teams. • Ensure alignment with enterprise data management and governance standards. • Manage complex technical dependencies across large transformation programmes. • Collaborate with architects, engineers, product owners and business stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions. We're looking for experience with: ✅ Delivering Medallion Architecture on modern data platforms (essential) ✅ Enterprise Data Platforms / Lakehouse architectures ✅ Data governance and data management controls ✅ Large-scale data transformation programmes ✅ Managing cross-functional technical dependencies and stakeholders Desirable technologies: • Databricks • Delta Lake • Microsoft Fabric • Azure Synapse • Azure Data Factory • Apache Spark • SQL • Python Previous experience within Banking or Financial Services is highly desirable.
