Role description
AWS Solution Architect, Team Lead Location: Charlotte, NC - preferred, Remote if not in CLT Duration: W2, initial 6-month contract with potential to convert Work Authorization: USC or GCH We are seeking a seasoned AWS Solution Architect / Technical Lead to design and deliver scalable, cloud-native data and application solutions. This role combines strategic architecture with hands-on development, focusing on AWS services, Python-based data pipelines, and modern DevOps practices. You will lead the design and implementation of Master Data Management (MDM) solutions while contributing to broader enterprise cloud architecture initiatives. The ideal candidate is both a strong technical leader and an experienced builder who can align technology solutions with business goals. Key Responsibilities • Partner with business and product stakeholders to align architecture with strategic objectives • Lead end-to-end solution design across data platforms, APIs, and cloud-native applications • Architect and build scalable systems using AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3, Glue, Redshift, DynamoDB, Aurora, Step Functions) • Design and develop data pipelines and microservices using Python and modern cloud patterns • Translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-efficient solutions • Provide technical leadership through code reviews, design sessions, and engineering best practices • Drive cloud modernization efforts, including Infrastructure as Code (CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation) • Establish and enforce architecture standards, security, and governance best practices • Lead Agile delivery (Scrum/SAFe), ensuring progress, quality, and risk management • Mentor engineers and foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment • Integrate cloud solutions with enterprise systems (e.g., CRM, ERP, BI tools) via APIs • Leverage AI/LLM tools to improve development efficiency, testing, and documentation Required Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in AWS cloud architecture, data engineering, or solution development • 2+ years of technical leadership experience (architecture ownership, team mentorship) • Strong expertise in core AWS services: S3, Lambda, Glue, Redshift, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Step Functions, Aurora • Proficiency in Python for data pipelines, automation, and backend development • Experience with microservices, API design, and serverless architectures • Solid understanding of DevOps practices (CI/CD, observability, infrastructure automation) • Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or SAFe) Preferred Qualifications • Experience with MDM platforms (Informatica, Reltio, Stibo) • AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, Data Analytics) • Knowledge of modern data platforms (Lakehouse, Athena, Lake Formation, Snowflake) • Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks • Understanding of data privacy and compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) • Experience integrating with enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow About INSPYR Solutions Technology is our focus and quality is our commitment.
