Job Title: Technical Lead – DO-178B, C++, Testing

Location: Fullerton, California

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Technical Lead with strong expertise in DO-178B standards, C/C++, and embedded software development. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and compliance of safety-critical software systems for our client, Collins Aerospace, in Fullerton, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

   • Lead development and verification activities in accordance with DO-178B standards, focusing on requirements-based verification and robustness testing.

   • Design and implement embedded/real-time safety-critical software solutions.

   • Conduct comprehensive software testing including Unit, Integration, and System Tests.

   • Debug and resolve software issues using various debugging tools.

   • Maintain software configuration using tools like ClearCase, Git/BitBucket, Jira, and DOORS.

   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables align with regulatory and performance standards.

Mandatory Qualifications:

   • Minimum 8 years of experience in software engineering, preferably in a Unix/Linux environment.

   • Strong experience with C programming, structured programming, and full SDLC.

   • Prior experience with safety-critical embedded systems and real-time development.

   • Proven track record in debugging and test execution at multiple levels.

   • Experience with source code configuration and requirements management systems.

   • Education: Bachelor's in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).

   • Alternate: Master’s + 5 years OR 12 years of experience in lieu of a degree.

   • U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of the project.

Preferred Qualifications:

   • Familiarity with C99, Python, SQL, MATLAB, Perl, bash/ksh scripting.

   • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), particularly in kernel development.

   • Exposure to VxWorks Operating System.

   • Prior WAAS experience or familiarity with WAAS standards.

   • Knowledge of Cost Account Management (CAM) principles/certification.
