Technical Lead, Oracle eBusiness Suite (EBS) Type: Contract | Duration: 12 months initial | Location: Hybrid out of Orange County, California (few days per week on-site preferred) About the company A publicly traded commercial aerospace manufacturer based in Southern California. Oracle E-Business Suite is the system of record for finance, supply chain, manufacturing and inventory operations. The company is investing in modernizing its digital thread, the integrated systems flowing data across product design, engineering change, manufacturing execution, and shop-floor operations. The opportunity A Technical Lead seat owning the integration architecture, platform discipline, and hands-on technical leadership across the Oracle EBS environment. The functional EBS configuration work is covered by an existing vendor partnership, so this role is not about module configuration. It is about owning how Oracle EBS connects to and feeds the digital thread, and leading the technical team that does the work. What you'll own • Integration architecture between Oracle EBS and the digital thread platforms (PLM, MES, design and manufacturing systems), including data flow design, transformation logic, and orchestration • Day-to-day work pulling data out of Oracle EBS, transforming it, and feeding it into downstream systems in the format they need • The technical roadmap for Oracle EBS, including upgrade lifecycle, ADOP online patch governance, environment management, and release cadence • CI/CD pipeline design and ownership across the EBS landscape, including automated testing, deployment automation, and change control • Hands-on technical leadership of the developer and analyst team working in and around Oracle EBS, including code review, technical mentorship, and stepping in directly to unblock complex problems • Solution architecture for new integrations, working with PLM, MES, and downstream system owners to design interfaces that hold up to real production load • Trusted advisor relationship with the C-Suite and wider SLT on technology direction, including Oracle Cloud (Fusion) roadmap thinking What you'll need • 10+ years in Oracle E-Business Suite at a technical or techno-functional level, with at least 5 years in a senior technical lead, integration architect, or platform architect role • Deep, current Oracle EBS R12.2.x technical experience, including hands-on PL/SQL, BI Publisher, Forms Personalization, OAF customization, Workflow, AME, and concurrent program design • Strong integration platform experience using one or more of: Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), MuleSoft, Informatica, or equivalent middleware, with REST and SOAP API design fluency • Hands-on experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines in an Oracle EBS context, including ADOP online patching, deployment automation, and environment governance • Demonstrated experience integrating Oracle EBS with PLM (Team Center, Windchill, Agile, or similar) and/or MES (Solumina, Apriso, Camstar, or similar) systems • Track record of leading developers and technical analysts directly, including code review, technical mentorship, and architectural decision-making across teams • Comfortable reading code and programming fluency across at least one of: Java, Python, .NET (C# or VB.NET), to give technical direction to developers working in those stacks • Strong communication at executive level, including translating technical detail into business outcome language for CIO and VP audiences • US-based, with the ability to operate hybrid out of Southern California at least a few days per week Nice to have • Aerospace, defense, satellite, or regulated complex manufacturing pedigree • Experience with Oracle Cloud (Fusion) ERP migration assessment, particularly the integration architecture implications of EBS to Fusion transitions • Prior work in an environment where digital thread, model-based engineering, or concurrent engineering disciplines were live • Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, OCI) for hybrid integrations • Background in a publicly traded company subject to SOX or comparable controls
