NO THIRD PARTIES WILL BE CONSIDERED We have a 20-year+ relationship with our client HYBRID: 3 DAYS PER WEEK IN CENTRAL NEW JERSEY/LOCAL CANDIDATES Technical Product Owner (TPO) - Procurement DI&A Products/Platform Location: Central New Jersey Hybrid Position Overview We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Technical Product Owner (TPO), aligned with the High-Performance Team (HPT) model, to lead the end-to-end execution of Procurement Data, Intelligent Automation, and Artificial Intelligence products and platforms within the Data, Intelligence & Automation (DI&A) team. The ideal candidate will help shape the product development strategy for various Procurement DI&A initiatives, ensuring alignment with broader business strategies and objectives, and delivering solutions that drive measurable business value. Key Responsibilities β€’ Serve as the TPO for multiple Procurement DI&A products and platforms, driving vision and strategy to meet stakeholder needs. β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teamsβ€”including procurement, finance, and ITβ€”to gather requirements, prioritize features, and deliver robust analytics solutions. β€’ Define and manage the product backlog, ensuring user stories and acceptance criteria are clear and actionable. β€’ Translate business requirements into technical specifications, working closely with data engineers and developers to ensure the timely delivery of features and enhancements. β€’ Manage total cost of ownership (TCO), drive cost optimization, and identify cost-reduction opportunities while maintaining operational efficiency. β€’ Monitor platform performance, identify improvement areas, and recommend enhancements to support informed decision-making. β€’ Conduct regular QBRs and stakeholder reviews, gathering feedback to continuously improve product/platform capabilities and user experience. β€’ Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data analytics and procurement, evaluating new technologies as appropriate. β€’ Lead training sessions and workshops to promote platform adoption and maximize user engagement. β€’ Develop compelling value propositions to secure development budgets, demonstrating clear understanding of project benefits and key outcomes. β€’ Maintain portfolio information in Nexus, Assess Management, Lean IX, ITSM, and IAM. β€’ Act as the JJT lead for SOX applications within the scope of the role. Education β€’ A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field is required. β€’ An advanced degree is preferred. Experience & Skills β€’ Minimum of 2–3 years in roles that deliver tangible business impact through Data, Intelligent Automation, and Artificial Intelligence (including Data Science, Machine Learning, Generative AI, Agentic AI, Langflow, and other relevant technologies). β€’ Minimum of 5 years of IT-related experience. β€’ Proven experience in digital product management, preferably in a data analytics environment, with strong analytical skills to evaluate data and drive recommendations for senior leaders and sponsors. β€’ Solid understanding of Procurement processes and systems; experience in Supplier Management and Data Management is a plus. β€’ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. β€’ Strong familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, JIRA). β€’ Experience with several of the following technologies is strongly recommended: Teradata, PostgreSQL, MS Azure, Databricks, OpenAI’s GPT, Neo4j, Alation, Python, PySpark, and AI-powered BI/data visualization tools (Cognos, Tableau, Power BI). Experience with integration technologies (e.g., Informatica) is a nice-to-have. β€’ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. β€’ Strong influencing, negotiation, and communication skills across complex matrix organizations.
