Technical Product Owner with Regulatory Reporting

Immediate need for a talented Technical Product Owner with Regulatory Reporting. This is a 12 months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Phoenix, AZ(Onsite). Key Responsibilities: • Drive execution of regulatory reporting automation initiatives • Translate business requirements into features, user stories, and acceptance criteria • Partner with Technology, Data Architects, and Report Owners to design and deliver solutions • Support Point of Arrival (POA) data sourcing and process design • Manage backlog prioritization and ensure alignment with program objectives • Coordinate across cross-functional teams (Engineering, Architecture, Governance, Finance) • Track delivery progress, identify risks/issues, and drive resolution • Support testing lifecycle (UAT, validation, defect resolution) • Document functional requirements, process flows, and data mappings • Assist in defining data controls and validation logic for regulatory reporting • Engage stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure requirements are met Key Requirements and Technology Experience: • Key skills; Regulatory Reporting, Product Owner, SQL • 6 years of experience in regulatory reporting, finance, or data-driven roles within financial services • Experience working in Agile / SAFe environments as a Product Owner • Experience writing features, user stories, and functional requirements • Strong understanding of data structures, relational databases, and data flows • Ability to work effectively across business and technology teams in a delivery-focused role • Prior experience in regulatory reporting transformation or automation programs • Exposure to additional US regulatory reports (Basel, Y9C, Y14, Y15, etc.) • SQL or data analysis experience • Experience working with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to support reporting, validation, and stakeholder insights • Exposure to AI capabilities in data processing, anomaly detection, or automation of workflows • Experience supporting data governance and data quality controls Our client is a leading Financial Industry, and we are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar contract positions.
