Job Title: Senior Technical Strategist (MFT / File Transfer Services)-REMOTE ROLE Location-Lansing,MI (PART TIME OPPORTUNITY-15HR/WEEK) Job Summary We are seeking an highly experienced Senior Technical Strategist to support the File Transfer Service (FTS) platform. FTS is a mission-critical Managed File Transfer (MFT) system used by all state agencies to securely exchange millions of files with internal and external partners while meeting strict compliance and audit standards. This role will play a key part in the MessageWay to MOVEit migration project, involving the transition of all existing users to the MOVEit platform. The project is complex, high-impact, and expected to span approximately two years. Key Responsibilities • Lead and support migration efforts from MessageWay to MOVEit platforms • Design, configure, test, and implement MFT solutions using MessageWay, MWIR, MOVEit, and TIBCO • Analyze existing file transfer workflows and recommend optimized solutions • Develop, test, document, and deploy scripts (primarily using PowerShell) • Troubleshoot system issues and provide advanced technical support • Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple State departments • Assist customers in designing secure and efficient file transfer solutions • Create and maintain FTS reports to meet business and compliance requirements • Contribute to strategic planning aligned with organizational objectives • Follow and promote SDLC best practices throughout the project lifecycle Required Qualifications • 10+ years of experience with MessageWay, MWIR, MOVEit, and TIBCO (customization, configuration, troubleshooting) • 10+ years of experience with database architecture related to MessageWay, MWIR, and MOVEit • Strong knowledge of Managed File Transfer (MFT) systems • Hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting • Experience in system design, development, testing, and deployment • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills • Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams and business stakeholders Preferred Skills • Experience in large-scale migration projects • Familiarity with secure data transfer protocols and compliance standards • Strong documentation and reporting experience Work Schedule & Additional Details • Part-time: 15 hours per week • Flexible schedule (work outside standard business hours, including evenings/weekends as needed) • Fully remote, but candidates must reside within 90 miles of Lansing, MI (mandatory) Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Statement Trilyon, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
